In 1970 Bob Strickland originally formed Opinionmeter, Inc.
to manufacture a point-of-sale customer satisfaction data collection
device called the Opinionmeter (US Patent number 3,689,930). But
it has taken until just four years ago - with confluence of the
right design and the advent of Customer Satisfaction as a crucial
marketing consideration - for the Opinionmeter to come into its
full potential. “The right product at the right time”.
This company is based in San Leandro, California.
Evolved over 30 years through five different design configurations,
the OpinionmeterXL finally offers the ultimate in a compact, battery powered, multi-application interactive machine with full computer
sophistication, at low cost. The most recent addition to the product
line is the new handheld Opinionmeter, the perfect compliment
to the stand-supported Opinionmeter model. Recent product enhancements
include the new TouchPoint series of touch screen systems. In addition to the
instant point-of-experience data retrieval options, the TouchPoint Opinionmeters provide
access to real-time customer feedback data feeds for customized and automated web reporting. With the onscreen keyboard respondents can enter open-ended comments, swipe their loyalty cards for additional incentives or opt-in to retailer's email lists to receive discounts coupons.
